Allegorithmic Substance Painter is software that can be used to work with 3D object textures. With this powerful application, you can draw a 3D texture of your model in real time. You get a smart material that adapts to any object to show realistic wear. The workflow is reversible, so you don’t have to limit yourself to experiments. Try out preset masks that adapt to any shape, and paint with a brush that can be adjusted quickly.

- Paint materials in real time
Choose a brush, select and adjust the material, then start painting! Each stroke is applied to all channels at once and is done instantly. You can paint multiple materials in one grid, with each card up to 4K resolution.
- Next generation viewpoints
Allows you to preview image results in a new Physical Correction (PBR) viewport for proper interaction with material. Capture stunning images of your creations using one of the best optical effect technologies (Yebis 2 from Silicon Studio), which lets you add anti-aliasing, color correction, depth of field, lens flare, light (Bloom), and more.
- Particle brush
Cast dirt, fire or even rain on your subjects and watch the realistic weather effects unfold in real time! The particle brush can be used to paint any material, and the brush can also be modified. And with Popcorn FX editor >> users can create custom brushes.
- Use any shader
Import your shaders and create your paint channel. You can also use ready-made shaders, such as a physically correct PBR shader (Physically-Based Shader) or one of the non-photorealistic shaders, the Toon shader.
- Effects and Substance Brushes
Apply your own or ready-made masks and Substance effects to layer and layer masks for a realistic aging or weather effect. Colorize Substance materials (parametric textures) on the model, adjust the parameters to get the look you want (or color your imported materials).
- Next generation 2D drawing
Introducing 2D mode with freely rotating shadows and canvas, as well as smooth 2D painting. Combines the best of both worlds – consistency of 3D images and the convenience of flexible 2D.
- Reversible workflow
The user can change the resolution at any time, and the Substance Painter will immediately recalculate each hit. Switch up your UV set and the strokes will automatically be reprojected (you don’t need to have the perfect UV set to paint!).
