VMWare ThinApp Enterprise is software that can be used to create portable versions of various applications by packaging the applications into containers that contain all the information needed to run and work on any computer without having to install them. This ensures that the software does not affect or change the current state of the operating system.
Features of VMWare ThinApp Enterprise:
- The only backup and implementation anywhere (Network, USB, Physical and Virtual workstations). Deploy virtual applications in user mode without administrator rights. No need to install device drivers or modify the registry. the application itself and its virtual operating system are treated as one EXE file. Silently stream large applications from a shared network drive without installing client or server software. Update or roll back the app even while it’s running. The new version will be launched the next time you use the application.
- Use of mobile devices. Users will be able to run applications on virtually any computer they have access to, including PCs in kiosks and hotels. You don’t need to install software or drivers, and you don’t need administrator privileges. Applications run directly from removable storage devices, including flash drives.
- Improve the software distribution process. Protect your local operating system from changes that could cause instability or security holes with the existing configuration tools. Even users with denied credentials can run virtual applications safely without the need for a local installation; which makes the product more attractive to IT employees with security issues.
- Easy Migration for Operating Systems and Applications: Agentless application virtualization in ThinApp facilitates migration for operating systems by allowing applications to run together on the same operating system. Users can continue to work as usual without interrupting problematic applications. In addition, if the application needs to be removed from the end node, this will look like a simple file deletion without having to “clean” the system registry.
